Purpose: The role of the Youth Engagement Team Initiative [YETI] is to build on the existing the crisis response system to help meet immediate and longer-term needs of unstably housed youth and young adults within the Coordinated Access Network [CAN] region.

  • Engage youth, schools, youth-serving agencies, Local Implementation Service Team [LIST] members, providers, designated Coordinated Access Network [CAN] representatives, and other stakeholders in the efforts to develop, implement, and evaluate a coordinated community plan to prevent and end youth homelessness by 2020.

  • Work in collaboration with youth and youth adults to refine the existing crisis response system to better engage, assess, serve, and house homeless youth and young adults in each community.

  • Ensure successful implementation of a regional Youth Count.
